We don't have "self contained titled" classrooms in my district but I have most of my kiddos all day besides specials, lunch (well most of them :)) and recess. Some of them are able to go out to their gen. ed rooms for science and social studies. I look forward to following your blog :)

Natasha
The Resource TeacherAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07504113615246504092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6764006739531924825.post-256209040326597232014-07-11T09:34:18.625-04:002014-07-11T09:34:18.625-04:00Great advice! Some students are able to handle inclusion and others need so much more than they are able to get in a general education class. On occasion, some of my students are able to handle inclusion for 1 or 2 subjects. But there are days, they just can't handle the pace/social skills/content and have to skip inclusion and stay with me that day. I am hoping not to bug other teachers too much but I know there will be a lot to learn as a new special educator. Even just learning to use the IEP system we have will be a challenge. I'm following you now and look forward to learning more about you!

Jamie
Tales of a Carolina GirlAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09661792406148201567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6764006739531924825.post-63922956200058580612014-07-08T09:38:24.161-04:002014-07-08T09:38:24.161-04:00My district supports full inclusion.
